Ajay Maken, the Congress leader in charge for Rajasthan, on Monday said that MLAs showed indiscipline by skipping a legislature party meeting called a day ago to pick Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s successor, ANI reported.On Sunday, Gehlot had hinted that he would step down as the chief minister. The 71-year-old is running to be the next president of the Congress, for which elections will take place on October 17. The question of Gehlot quitting his post has arisen after Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that the party will follow the “one-man, one-post ruleâ€?.After Congress called the meeting on Sunday, 90 MLAs – all of whom support Gehlot – met on the sidelines. They submitted their resignations to Assembly Speaker CP Joshi amid speculation that Sachin Pilot could be appointed as Rajasthan’s chief minister after Gehlot.
